Joyce Oudkerk Pool
Joyce Oudkerk Pool was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. At the age of 10 she immigrated to the United States of America with her family. From a young age Joyce has had a fascination with travel and photography.
During her teens and early twenties she lived and explored the different cultures of Europe, Israel, South America, Central America and North America.
She eventually landed at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California to pursue a degree in Photography. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Photography her spirit of adventure led her to Australia where she spent two years.
She moved to California and in 1986 started her own commercial photography business, specializing in food and still life. Her clients include advertising agencies, national and international designers, and publishers. Joyce's passion for photography, food and travel can be seen in many cookbooks and her personal work.
